Anyone can make an art piece orphaned by getting rid of your sig/watermark (you know, like theives are already doing?) and thus it can stand up in court. The bill has yet to be released for public view, so the old Orphan Works bill of 2005/2006 IS being revised...so lets kick this thing in the ass, please?

I understand that this has been spreading and people are saying its not as bad as it seems... but some of the proof that they have is older than the linker I got earlier. So now this is what I am getting. They're attempting to revise the bill and have it pass over the summer.

Freaking out, again, is not a bad thing either if you have facts...from the facts that I got last night while I was researching this thing to make sure IT WASN'T FAKE pissed me off and yes, I still emailed a bunch of people in my legislature.

Know what your doing. And being over protective isn't bad.

EDIT I have heard that the Orphan Act is old news? If that is so then why the updates now? besides, its not beyond the US to do this....updated news is nice, but still, spam out your peeps because....this isn't funny....old news or not
